Dr Chau Chak Wing Building is a Business School building of the University of Technology Sydney in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The first building in Australia designed by Canadian American architect Frank Gehry was Aurora Place completed in 2000.

세계적인 건축가 프랭크 게리(Frank Gehry)가 호주에 처음으로 디자인한 Dr. Chau Chak Wing Building은 호주 시드니 소재 UTS 대학교의 비지니스 스쿨 본관이다.

The tower is named after Dr. Chau Chak Wing (周泽荣) , a Teochew Chinese Australian businessman and philanthropist who donated $20 million for the building's construction. The 12-storey tower provides teaching, learning, research and office accommodation for 1,256-1,300 students and 300-326 academic staff. Building design is based on the idea of a tree-house structure.

중국계 호주인인 Dr. Chau Chak Wing이 $2000만불을 기부하여 지어진 이 건물은 teaching, learning, research 그리고 office 공간에 약 1300명의 학생과 300명 이상의 교수진을 수용하는 12층 짜리 건물이다.

The building's façade, which was made of 320,000 custom designed bricks, is described as the "squashed brown paper bag". Frank Gehry said, "Maybe it's a brown paper bag, but it's flexible on the inside, there's a lot of room for changes or movement."

이 빌딩의 벽면은 320,000장의 수제 벽돌로 이루어 졌으며 '찌그러진 갈색 종이봉투"를 연상시킨다. 프랭크 게리에 의하면 찌그러진 갈색 종이봉투 같이 보일지 몰라도 내부에는 충분한 공간이 있다고 밝혔다.

Early works on site and archaeological excavation were carried out from late 2011 until early 2012. The building was constructed by Lend Lease Group which was appointed in November 2012.[1] It is estimated that 320,000 custom-designed bricks were used for its construction.

2011년 부터 부지를 개발하기 시작하여 2012년 11월 경에 Lend Lease Group이 시공사로 선정되었다. 약 320,000개의 벽돌이 우아한 곡선을 살리는 외벽을 만들기 위해 사용되었다.

Construction of the building started in late 2012. The building structure was topped-out in December 2013, The Dr Chau Chak Wing building construction was completed in November 2014 and the official opening took place on 2 February 2015.

2012년 말 부터 시작된 건축은 2013년 12월에 뼈대가 완성되었으며, 약 1년 뒤인 2014년 11월에 완공되었다. 공식적인 개관일은 2015년 2월 2일이다.
